It was easy to convert it to a shader that just display an overlay.įor a while now I use these 2 shaders with steem, winuae, hoxs, demul, dolphin, supermodel and some others. Finally I combined this shader with a simple shader called “Hud_Tech” which originally was designed to display a crosshair for aiming. Now I was able to set the exact position and size, wherever I want to have it on the screen. I then took a closer look into the crt.fx-shader and were able to add some new parameters: zoom_x, zoom_y, offset_x and offset_y I have Retroarch starting games on the big CRT TV as I want, but the games still have the black borders on both sides.

What I mean is the when you launch the game in full screen on 4:3 you see 2 black borders, I want to get rid of those without stretching to 16:9. I instantly found a nice little tweak to use the “overscan”-parameter to be used as zoom-in as wells as zoom-out by just changing the accepted limits for the value. Im having trouble understanding what you mean, but if you want something instead of black borders while keeping the correct aspect ratio, you can use overlays. Please give me credit and the others involved if you use it on your Youtube channel. Finally I took a closer look into the stock shader “CRT.fx” which is delivered with reshade. These custom console and game themed bezels were edited and assembled by me to play your retro console games with a unique nostalgic bezel on Retroarch. Set Show Inputs on Overlay to: Physical (Controller) Set Show Inputs from Port to: 1. (square displays like crt tv’s, vga monitors, lcd panels, etc.) Otherwise you’ll get displaced controls. For months I had the exact same problem like you. OVERLAY SETTINGS: - Set the AUTO SCALE OVERLAY option to ON in non wide displays.
